SSgt Irvin Casper Ellingson
Tokyo Military Prison Fire
Capt. Will F. Latimer, Jr Crew

Return to SSgt Ellingson Main Page

The crew photo is undated and although there is nose art, I have not been able to locate a nickname for this B-29. SSgt Ellingson's name is misspelled as Ellingston.

Below the photo are two pages of Missing Air Crew Report 14237 from SSgt Ellingson's IDPF. These are followed by one page of the Report of Death written and submitted by Elizabeth Ridgway. Her format provides additional information on crew members.

The abbreviation EUS following TSgt Vance's name stands for
Evacuated to United States.

At the bottom are two pages from the Tobu Army District Report created by the POW Research Network Japan. SSgt Ellingson's name does not appear in these pages.
