The first two list Lt Franz's status as Missing in Action ( MIA )

Following the second BCR is a document titled Finding of Death.
This was issued one year and one day following the
last known date that Lt Franz was known to be alive.
The third BCR amends this Finding of Death
based upon information received since it was issued.
The specifics of this information is not stated.
Lt Franz's status was changed from MIA to KIA ( Killed in Action ).
The final document is the Report of Death issued 15 August 1946.
Lt Franz status is formally acknowledged as Killed in Action 27 January
1945.
