1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sifted flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts
Combine egg, sugar, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly
Sift together flour and baking soda. Stir into brown sugar mixture and then stir in nuts
Spread in greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes. Cool in pan on rack and then cut into squares.
