Three of the four documents in this section are titled ' Report of Death ' and the fourth is a Battle Casualty Report.

For whatever reason there is no Battle Casualty Report issued in 1945 that would state
Lt Cobb's status as Missing in Action. The date of the below Report is 7 April 1947 by which time Lt Cobb had been identified.

The first Report of Death is from 15 May 1946 while the other two are dated 9 April 1947. The only difference between these last two is that the address of Lt Cobb's wife, Elva Alice Cobb, is changed from San Diego to Waverly, Nebraska
