Pages from Find A Grave and Ancestry.com follow this introduction and are quite informative concerning what took place during her life. There is no mention of when she married Lt Harold Cobb.

The first document in this section is a 26 Dec 1946 letter from War Department to Mrs Mary Cobb informing her of Lt Cobb's burial location at the Yokohama Cemetery in Japan. Apparently his parents did not receive, or were not sent, this letter.

Beginning in February 1947 Mr Cobb sent out letters to both people in the US Army and to Senator Tom Connally. In his 19 February 1947 letter to Senator Connally he quotes part of a letter dated 14 May 1946 informing him and his wife that Harold is Killed In Action and that " he would be kept informed of further developments ". This letter does not appear in Lt Cobb's IDPF.

At the bottom of a letter sent to Mary on 24 April 1947 from the Office of the Quartermaster General is a form that she completed and returned. She states that she has remarried and this begins the process of Mr Cobb becoming Legal Next of Kin .

There are no letters in Lt Cobb's IDPF between Mary and his parents. As a result, we have no way of knowing what was taking place between them during this time.
