The correspondence within this section concerns letters between Mr and Mrs Cobb to Senator Connally, the Adjutant General of the Army,
and the Quartermaster General Department.

Included is a letter from a friend of the Cobbs who was on board a US Navy ship in Yokohama and was able to locate Lt Cobb's gravesite in the Yokohama Cemetery.

Senator Connally was able to reach people in high places and his effort resulted in Mr Ervin Cobb being able to take the steps to become Legal Next of Kin.

It took from February through July 1947 before this became effective.
