Within Lt Edman's IDPF there is no correspondence from
the US Army Quartermaster Corps from 1945 to 1949.
Quite likely letters were sent to the family when the
Battle Casualty Reports, Report of Death, and Finding of Death were
issued.
However, these are not in Lt Edman's IDPF.
The two pages of the following letter to Mr and Mrs Edman is dated
13 April 1950.
This summarizes information concerning the investigations
to recover and/or identify their son.
In Pages 2 and 3 are letters from a family member to
the Army , American Battle Monuments Commission,
and National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
