The POWs were confined at the Eastern District Tokyo Kempei Tai Headquarters.

This was located at the north east side of the moat surrounding the Imperial Palace .
Immediately south was the Kempei Tai Headquarters Hospital.

At least two of the POWs at this facility were executed by lethal injection.

Evidence points to Cpl Stanley Forystek's death as the result of
third degree burns and not lethal injection.
