The focus here is on two of the accused,
Toshio Tashiro and Masao Koshikawa

Also in this section are pages from the
Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers ( SCAP )
with statements of review and acceptance of the verdict against the accused.

Statements in both documents are a bit confusing concerning
the number of POWs identified ( 45 ) and the number unidentified ( 17 ).

Below is a page that appears in all the IDPFs of POWs who died at the Tokyo Military Prison.
This list contains 46 names and a column for how the information was obtained.

My opinion is that this list should have been used as a record
of those men who could have been in the prison at the time of the fire.

Many of these men have never formally identified.

Lt Gerhardt's name appears in Page 8 of the Trial Document.
