Below are four documents from Capt Hahn's IDPF.

The dates range from January/February 1945 through March 1946.
Mrs Helen Hahn was notified on 2 February 1945
that her husband was Missing in Action.

One year and one day following the loss of Capt Hahn's B-29 a
Finding of Death was issued.
His presumed Date of Death was 28 January 1946.

A second Battle Casualty Report (BCR) dated 26 March 1946 follows.
This report contains inaccuarate information concerning Capt Hahn's status.

Specifically, the recovery of his dog tags confirms that he was in
the Tokyo Military Prison the night of the fire.

However, there is no indication that these dog tags are
associated with specific remains.

Within Case History 111 are documents that can verify this statement.
At the conclusion of investigations that attempted to identify
all the 62 men who were known to be at the prison,
Capt Hahn is listed as one of the 37 whose status is

Killed in Action - Remains Non -Recoverable

The final document titled Report of Death, dated 28 March 1946,
states that Capt Hahn was Killed in Action.

This report was issued four years before Capt Hahn's status was officially declared
