Captain Elmer Hahn's parents were Arthur and Lillian ( Nellie ) Hahn who
lived in Twin Falls and Idaho Falls, Idaho.

He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, in 1919, and
his brother Clyde was born 1921.

Elmer Hahn graduated from Idaho Falls High School around 1937 or 1938.

In early 1938 he became a licensed commerical pilot
and was one of five pilots flying Air Mail in a part of Idaho.

On 26 November 1940 Elmer Hahn married Helen Dere Johnson and
their son Elmer D Hahn was born 1941.

Capt Hahn's B-29 was lost during the mission to Tokyo on 27 January 1945.

He and three of his crew survived the crash.
