Lt Houghton's name is the 5th one in this first document concerning Reception Condition of the men's bodies. Date of Crash and Date of Death are noted.

At the bottom of the fourth page he is listed as having
' died from burns 11 April 1945 '.

At his main page are two pages from Missing Air Crew Report 13762 in which two survivors describe him as being badly burned. The Mansell POW Database has his cause of death due to poisoning.
