Sgt Robert James Janecek's journey home began with the below letter to his father from the
Quartermaster Corps.

His remains had initially been buried at
United States Armed Forces ( USAF ) Cemetery Yokohama #1.

They were disinterred and transferred to USAF Mausoleum Yokohama #2.

In this letter Mr Janecek is requested to fill out and return
the form titled Request for Disposition of Remains.

There are numerous hand-written notes in the first page.

The form was signed 4 May 1949 and

returned to the Memorial Division,
Quartermaster Corps.
