These two pages concerning the 1st Lt Douglas H Rubinstein, Jr, Crew contain information from both official and unofficial sources. The below crew photo is from the 499th Bomb Group Unofficial History.

SO 288 from Smoky Hills AAF,dated 14 October 1944, has this crew listed
under the heading Unit Reserve Crews.

The crew arrived on Saipan 22 December 1944 documented in
the 879th Bomb Squadron Morning Report below.

Their first mission took place on 24 December 1944, target Iwo Jima.

Their twelve missions were flown on four different B-29s
with V-52 being their first mission on this aircraft.

They were lost on the 13-14 April 1945 mission to the Tokyo Arsenal.
SSgt Alfred J McNamara was the only survivor.
Remains of the other ten men were recovered and in Page 2 is
a page from Randy Watkin's book You Are Not Forgotten.
In there he provides information about
the B-29 and burial locations of the ten men.

At Fold3 there are only two pages of Missing Air Crew Report 14236
and these are the same ones that appear in SSgt McNamara's IDPF.
The COVID pandemic has closed the AFHRA facility and once they reopen
I will attempt to find the complete document.

of the grave marker of Rubinstein Crew at their Group Burial site
in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
