The 19 letters from Michael Krehl's collection range from 6 May 1944 through 19 February 1946.
Michael is Leonard and Melba McNeill's grandson

Most of these letters are addressed to Melba.
Some were written by Leonard's parents, his brother Duncan Seymour,
and sister Melva.
Others were written by Melba's sister Edna Mae and her mother Florence Culbreth.

Below is a document that appears in Missing Air Crew Reports and
lists the names of next of kin.

This was sent to Melba from 20th Air Force Headquarters.
My assumption is that was sent to all the families.

Leonard wrote two letters to Melba.

The last letter written by Melba to Leonard was never mailed.
