Sgt Warren Leonard Olson survived the loss of B-29 42-63513
the night of 25-26 May 1945.
He was taken to the Eastern District Tokyo Kempei Tai Headquarters
and died there on 30 May 1945.

Cause of death : Lack of Medical Care

Some details of his confinement are in the
Yokohama Trial T310 Section.

His remains were buried in the Koishikawa Military Cemetery.
Locations of the Eastern District Kempei Tai Headquarters and the cemetery are noted in above map.

The documents in these pages cover the period
from 11 March 1946 through 8 October 1948.

Formal identification took place on 15 September 1948
although documents from January 1948
indicate that his identity was known at that time.

Recovery operations at the Koishikawa Cemetery took place
from 10-14 March 1946.
Sgt Olson's remains were disintered on 11 March 1946
and initially he was indentified as Unknown X-O.

His remains were transferred to
United States Armed Forces ( USAF ) Cemetery Yokohama #1
and renamed Unknown X-307.
