As of this date ( July 2021 ) TSgt Raymond Carl Richmond
has not been identified.
His remains may or may not be in this specific grave site
at the
Manila American Cemetery.

Unless otherwise noted, the documents in these pages are from Michael Krehl.
These came to me during July 2021.

Recovery of remains at the Tokyo Military Prison took place
between 14 and 21 February 1946.

Unknown X-L was disinterred on 15 February 1946 and
reinterred at Yokohama Cemetery #1 on 16 February 1946.

Unknown X-L was redesignated as X-193 at Yokohama.

In August 1949 the Board of Review recommended that Unknown X-193
be redesignated as TSgt Raymond C Richmond.
One month later this recommendation was disapproved.

Sometime between September 1949 and January 1950 the remains of
Unknown X-193 were transferred from Yokohama Cemetery #1
to the Mausoleum at Manila.

Documents in Page 2 provide minimal details concerning transfer of
these remains from the Mausoleum to the Cemetery at Fort McKinley.
The remains are in Block N, Row 18, Grave 165.

In April 1948 the Philippine Government granted permission to
establish the Manila American Cemetery.

The Cemetery was dedicated on 8 December 1960 and
is located within the boundaries of the former Fort McKinley.
