To the best of my knowledge, Bill Bunker became President of the USS
Helena Organization sometime around 1965. Bill had planned to step down
at the 2001 reunion.
He remained in this position for roughly 40 years and
was follwed by Bob Kern who was elected during the 2005 reunion.
Bob was the first man from the CA-75 to take over as
President and during his tenure the
2007 Helena Organization Muster was published.
These pages provide glimpses into the transition from
Bill Bunker to Bob Kern.
