SSgt Augunas' status is
Prisoner of War of the Japanese Government.

There is a handwritten comment that " No action is necessary ".

In March 1946 a Finding of Death was issued, with SSgt Augunas'
presumed date of death 18 March 1946.
This was issued one year and one day following his status as MIA.

The fourth BCR changes his status to Killed in Action
18 JULY 1945 IN JAPAN
