at the above web sites. Below are two pages of Lt Houghton's enlistment record
from the National Archives. August 1943 : New Haven 27 March 1944 : Clovis AAF While with the 1st Lt Carl Smith crew, Lt Houghton flew
17 or 18 missions. Each of the above reports state that Lt Houghton was
severely burned. His name appears in Specification 5 of Trial T-369 in a list of nine men who were poisoned. However, seven of these men's names, including Lt Houghton, were removed from this list. In the fourth page of the Resume of Official Records, Lt Houghton is the last name on the page and cause of death is stated as ' died of burns '. For those interested in hard reading, I refer you to
