SSgt Chester Arthur Johnson, Jr
Tokyo Military Prison Fire
Non-Recoverable Remains
Page 1

Througout the documents in both SSgt Johnson's IDPF and those in Case History 111 you will find inconsistency in the number of men whose cause of death was Death by Burning.

Two of these numbers stand out:
25 - POWs were identified
37 - POWs whose status is non-recoverable as association
with any recovered remains was impossible

The names of these 37 are in Page 3

Other pages have different lists of X- numbers, those who were known
to be in the Tokyo Military Prison at the time of the fire,
and pages from Case History 111 which list the status of each man who was on the B-29.

I will leave it to the reader to sort through these pages and reach their own conclusions.
