Sgt Otto J Marek's burial status is the focus of the correspondence in this section. One is a handwritten note written by his parents in August 1948 to the Memorial Division inquiring about the form to be filled out to have his remains returned home.

It appears from this note that they thought his identity and burial location were known when in fact it took until March and April 1949 to confirm this.
