Two of the three letters on this page were written by Major General Edward F Witsell, Acting The Adjutant General of the Army.

The first is dated 31 July 1945 and his second on 26 October 1945. In each he regrets not being able to provide Mrs McNeill with any information concerning her husband Leonard.
