Sgt Myer's journey home began when his remains were moved from
United States Armed Forces Cemetery Yokohama #1 to the
American Graves Registration Service (AGRS) Port Facility in Yokohama.

This took place sometime between February and September 1949.

Around 15 October 1949 his remains were placed aboard
USAT General Edwin D Patrick and departed for Fort Mason, San Francisco.

Following arrival at Fort Mason on 1 November 1949, his remains were transported
by rail to Distribution Center #1 ( DC #1) Brooklyn , arriving 9 November 1949.

On 19 December remains of 13 men, including Sgt Myers,
were transported by rail to Washington DC with final destination
Arlington National Cemetery

as well as correspondence to Mr Stanley Myers regarding
his wishes for how his son's remains were to be taken care of.
