All the documents on this page concern Missing Air Crew Report ( MACR ) 14512.

The first one is from Sgt Olson's IDPF and is not the original.
At the far right is the status of each crew member
KIA ( Killed in Action ) or DOW ( Died of Wounds ).

Four pages from the original MACR follow.
This MACR was required to be submitted to the
499th Bomb Group HQ within 48-72 hours following loss of the B-29.
The report then would work its way up the chain of command.

The initial status of each crew member is MIA.
As new information became available status
was updated in pencil in the left side of the page.

The last page has a list of each member of the crew and
on the right side either the name of
Next of Kin or Emergency Addressee.
Sgt Olson's contact person is his Uncle, James B Wolfe.

A letter would have been sent to each family and this list was enclosed.
