Target Osaka
Page 2

The first three reports are from the 73rd Bomb Wing and
the last two from XXI Bomber Command.

In the 73rd BW report are several statistics as well as
comments about various aspects of the mission.

A-16, Lt Crowe, shows up in the middle of the third page.

A Super Dumbo ( rescue B-29 ) stated that a communication was heard
from this B-29 and provides a ditching location.

This did not happen.
There are a few reports indicating that there was no radio communication
from A-16 following its leaving the formation.

In the formation diagram beneath this statement,
A-6 with Capt Brewster in the lead aircraft.

This is followed by a formation diagram with all the B-29s of the 497th that bombed the target.
One of the formations has two B-29s.

Two teletype messages follow with the first stating:
16V606 Missing and May Have Ditched.

The second teletype notes Intercepts of Confusing Reports.
