Missing in Action on 28 December 1944.

One year and one day following the date of the crash,
Lt Warde not had been identified.
At this time a Finding of Death was issued.

Lt Warde's presumed date of death was 4 December 1945.

His remains were recovered in Chiba-shi ( Chiba City ) in March 1946.

A second Battle Casualty Report was issued on 29 March 1946.
Within this document his cause of death was stated as
Died of Wounds While a Prisoner Of War
of the Japanese government.
