Sgt John William Welsh
Tokyo Military Prison Fire

Identification
Page 2

The first document is handwritten and contains concise information concerning Sgt Welsh.
It is date stamped February 1949.

This is followed by three documents concerning the original location of
his remains ( the Kempei Tai Prison )
and subsequent disinterment and identification.

Two of the forms are originals with cross outs replaced with updated information.

An example is the last one dated 19 February 1946
where X-182 crossed out and replaced with his name.

Further down this same page is the notation
that his identification was accepted by Col Metz on 28 March 1949.

Col Metz was with the Office of Quartermaster General
and I do not know if he was in Japan or Washington D.C.
