Lt Wittee was executed 21 July 1945
at the Shinodayama Military Maneuver Area
and buried at the same location.

His remains were recovered in April 1946 and
the first report details his disinterment.

This is followed by a sketch of the recovery area.
In each of these documents are the coordinates 1046.80 - 1271.61.

Below the sketch is a Google Map with a circle showing
the most likely burial location within this 700 foot radius.

At the bottom of this page is part of US Army Map 5150-1.
Coordinates run along the bottom and right side borders.

You will notice that the exact coordinates are not in this map
and the * is an estimate of the burial location.
