The first document is titled
Report of Interment ( Reinterment ) dated 16 April 1946.
Sgt Wright's initial status was designated as Unknown X-B.
His remains were transfered to
USAF Cemetery Yokohama #1 and redesignated X-368.
There is an element of doubt as to his cause of death.
Crew members who survived the crash recognized
Sgt Wright, SSgt Wells, and 1st Lt Warde's voices following their
capture.
The Japanese version is that Sgt Wright died before
being brought to the Army Hospital in Chiba.
It appears that the Quartermaster General Graves Registration Service
relied upon this information, be it correct or not.
In any event, his death did occur in Chiba City, Japan.
Sgt Wright's preliminary identification appears to
have taken place "In The Field" at the Chiba City Cemetery.
