Sgt John Alexander Wright

The Major Goldsworthy Crew

Considerably more information can be found at
Lt Henry Hewson Warde's
place in the
POW Honor Roll

At the top of this page is a photo of the crew with captions followed
by one slightly larger without captions.

Next is the 500th Bomb Group 30 May 1944
Roster of Flight Crews.

Note that four of these crew members would not be assigned to
the Major Goldsworthy crew that would fly to Saipan.

The last two documents are from Special Orders 199 issued at
Walker Army Airfield, Victoria, Kansas, on 14 October 1944.

These are part of the Movement Order and at the bottom of the first page
Major Goldsworth is designated as Movement Commander.

The second page is the beginning of a list of
the names of each crew that would be flying to Saipan.

Major Goldsworthy's crew is Number 101,
assigned to B-29 Serial Number 42-24656.

Their route would take them first
from Kansas to Mather AAF, Sacramento, California.

From there they would fly to Hickam AAF, Territory of Hawaii,
Kwajalein, and Saipan.
