Sgt Goffery was with the Major Robert Goldsworthy crew
during the 3 December 1944 mission to the Musashino Plant, Tokyo, Target 357.

During this mission B-29s of the 73rd Bomb Wing
were attacked 523 times by Japanese aircraft.
Rosalia's Rocket was hit and crashed close to Tokyo.

Sgt Goffery survived the crash and was captured.
He was taken to the Tokyo Kempei Tai Headquarters
and spent two months there.

In Major Goldworthy's Oral History he mentions that Sgt Goffery was taken
from his cell during the last week of January and never seen nor heard from again.

Within his Individual Deceased Personnel File are records
from the Japanese government stating that he died 11 February 1945
and was buried in the Koishikawa Military Cemetery.

Sgt Goffrey's remains were never recovered.

Documents in some of the sections cover this situation.
