Page 1

The first page is from Missing Air Crew Report ( MACR ) 14512.
This report was issued by the 877th Squadron Headquarters within 48-72 hours
following loss of contact with the B-29.

This page was included with a letter sent to each of
the family members to allow them to contact each other.

The contact is typically a parent or spouse.
Sgt Olson's contact is his Uncle James B Wolfe, husband of his Aunt Lena Olson Wolfe.

Sgt Olson would have provided his name to the Army at some point during enlistment process.

While James B Wolfe is the Emergency Address ( E.A. ) contact, he is not Legal Next of Kin.

The US Army made numerous attempts to contact Sgt Olson's father,
Oscar Carl Olson, beginning in October 1948 .

These documents are presented in approximate chronological order.

In 1940 Mr Olson was living in the Seattle-Tacoma area of Washington.

There is no information concerning his change(s)
of residence until late 1948 / early 1949.

Coming Home is closely linked to Next of Kin and between the two
you may be able to follow the path that eventually
put the Army in contact with Oscar Carl Olson.
