Sgt Thaddeus Joseph Pasternak
Tokyo Military Prison Fire
Recovery
Page 1

Recovery of 62 remains from the Tokyo Military Prison
took place from 14-21 February 1946.

Sgt Pasternak was not formally identified until April 1949.

You will find overlaps between the Recovery and
the Identification sections at this web site.

There is also an overlap concerning several lists of names
such as the below list of 46 men from Appendix 2.

Case History 111
at the main page of the POW Honor Roll
contains 213 pages and many of these lists can be found there.

At the bottom of this page are two sketches of the
Prison Layout from Case History 111.

The sketch of the mass burial site does not indicate
the location where each Unknown was recovered.
