Below are two pages from two sets of orders issued in April 1944.

The first is from Clovis AAF dated 9 April 1944 and
concerns movement of the 497th Bomb Group
from Clovis AAF to Pratt AAF, Kansas.

Transportation is by rail and/or bus.
Lt Edman's name is within the 872nd Bomb Squadron.

At this time each Bomb Group consisted of four Bomb Squadrons:

869th, 870th, 871st, and 872nd

The second set of orders is dated 14 April 1944 and was issued at Pratt AAF.

The number of squadrons was reduced to three and
the men of the 872nd were assigned to either the 869th, 870th, or 871st.

Lt Edman's name appears along with Capt Elmer Hahn in the transfer to the 870th.

There is nothing in here to indicate that the Hahn Crew had been formed as a unit.
