Two versions of the first page of
Missing Air Crew Report ( MACR ) 14230
are below.

The MACR would have been filed within 48-72 hours of the aircraft
failing to return to Saipan.

Each has the same information concerning the Crew
with the first one being in a cleaner format.

The initial status of each crew member was Missing in Action ( MIA ).

The handwritten entries were made in late 1945 or the early months of 1946.
There are two abbreviations next to Sgt Ray Hopper's name:

EUS : Evacuated to Continental United States
RTD : Returned to Duty

Lt Law went down with his B-29.
The other 10 men survived.
They were taken to Tokyo Kempei Headquarters following their capture.

The reason why Sgt Hopper was transferred to the Omori POW Camp
instead of the Tokyo Military Prison is unknown.

He is the only one of the crew who survived.
