Oral History, Photos, and Documents

The first of three accounts of the 3 December 1944 Mission to Tokyo
and what took place during captivity begin with this page.

Major Goldsworthy's Oral Interview covers both
his political activities following the end of World War II and
extensive details concerning his time in captivity.

Seven pages of Jim Bowman's Day-by-Day is in Page 2 and a
short commentary by Col Richard T King, Jr is in Page 3.

Below are two crew photos, one most likely taken at Walker AAF, Kansas,
and the other on 2 November 1944 on Saipan.

These are followed by four documents from
Air Force Historical Research Agency REEL B0667.

The first is a Roster of Flight Crews dated 30 May 1944.
Major Goldsworthy's name is not in this list.

The complete crew is listed in Special Orders 199 dated 14 October 1944.

The final document is Operations Order Number 18
issued at Mather AAF, Sacramento, on 28 October 1944.
