The below Disinterment Directive indicates that
Sgt Janecek's remains were disintered at USAF Cemetery Yokohama #1 on 13 January 1949.

His date of death is incorrectly stated as 23 May 1945.

The Record of Custodial transfer below the Disinterment Directive
summarizes the dates and locations
where Sgt Janececk's remains were transported.

The first stop was at the American Graves Registration Service ( AGRS )
facility at the Port of Yokohama on 18 January 1949.

His remains were at this facility until 20 June 1949
when they were placed on board USAT General Darby.

At an unknown date the General Darby departed
Yokohama, arriving at Fort Mason, San Francisco, on 5 August 1949.

From there his remains were transported by rail
to the Distribution Center at Chicago, arriving 15 August 1949 .

The final document is a day letter to Mr Janecek informing him
that his son's remains have been returned to the United States.
