The first document is dated 20 June 1947
with Sgt Marek designated as X-234.

The date of the second document is 28 April 1948 and UNKNOWN X-234 is crossed out and replaced with Sgt Otto J Marek.

It would appear that by this time the first step of identifying him by name had taken place. However, it would another year before formal identification was made.
