1st Lt McSpadden's journey home.
They begin with his Disinterment Directive dated 15 July 1949.

At the top of the DISINTERMENT DIRECTIVE is the code 5325.
This is USAF Yokohama Cemetery #1.
Two rows below, on the right side, is the Code 8500 ( Texas ).

RECORD OF CUSTODIAL TRANSFER.
The location and date of each step of the process of
Lt McSpadden's journey home is documented.
The first step is transport from USAF Cemetery Yokohama #1 to
the American Grave Service Registration Service ( AGRS )
port facility located at the port of Yokohama.
On 2 August 1945 Lt McSpadden's remains were place on board
US Army Transport ( USAT ) General W.F. Hase.
The USAT Hase departed Yokohoma the same day and arrived at
the San Francisco Port of Embarkation ( SFPE ),
Fort Mason, San Francisco, on 15 August.
The next step of his journey was by rail from San Francisco
across the Bay
to the Oakland Army Base, District Center 13.
Mrs McSpadden was requested to confirm the
date and location of where her husband's remains
were to be transported.
