At the bottom of the first , within Sanadayama Military Cemetery Grave 3,
are three X- numbers with the words
( Possibly McSpadden, Joe S. )

The second document states that Lt McSpadden was known to be in Osaka.
This information is from SCAP and not included in his IDPF.

The third document is dated 11 February 1949.

This was written while the
Board of Review
was still in the process of formally identifying Lt McSpadden.

Recommendations by the Board were not approved by
