The last week of March 1949 was a busy one.

The first is a draft Correspondence Action Sheet dated
21 March 1949 which states that Sgt Olson's remains will be interred in
the Golden Gate National Cemetery.

A formal letter with this information was sent to Oscar Olson from
Major James F Smith, Memorial Division, on 22 March 1949.

On 28 March 1949 a Day Letter was sent to Fort Rosecrans with notification
that Sgt Olson's remains would arrive 8 April 1949

Also on 28 March 1949 a telegram was sent from the War Department to the
Oakland Army Base ordering that Sgt Olson's remains immediately be sent to Seattle.

E. A. Butterworth and Sons were notified by telegram
on 30 March 1949 that Sgt Olson's remains would arrive 8 April 1949.
