Report of Disinterment for Identification
The first one is dated 15 February 1946 and Sgt Pettersen's remains
were designated as Unknown X-0.
The coordinates noted in Page one are outlined in a white rectangle.
Also in this form is the name of the unit that took part in these
recoveries :
3061st QM GR Company
( 3061st Quartermaster Grave Registration Company )
Following disinterment, Sgt Pettersen's remains were transferred
to
United States Armed Forces ( USAF ) Cemetery #1 at Yokohama.
There his designation was changed to Unknown X-195.
The second Report of Disinterment for Identification
is dated 18 June 1947 and
contains essentially the same information as the first.
