there is a notation that a Report of Death was issued on 3 July 1946.

This is the first document below with
Place of Death " Pacific Area " and date of death 1 June 1946.

On 8 February 1949 the third BCR was issued with
the most complete information in all these documents.

Sgt Strong's status is Kiiled in Action and location is Japan.

In addtion are the words
KILLED WHILE POW OF JAPANESE AT OSAKA KEMPEI TAI

The final document on this page is the
Corrected Report of Death issued 11 March 1949.

At this time Sgt Strong's remains were in
the process of being returned to the United States.
