Below are four documents issued by the War Department from
December 1944 through April 1946.
The first is the Battle Casualty Report dated 8 December 1944.
This is the date that notification was sent to
Sgt Wright's mother, Mrs Janet S Wright.
Her son's status is Missing in Action.

One year and one day following the last known
date that Sgt Wright was alive, the document
Finding of Death
was issued on 4 December 1945.
Four months later, on 6 April 1946,
a Report of Death was issued.
This most likely was based upon Sgt Wright's
preliminary identification in the field.
The last document is a second Battle Casualty Report
dated 29 March 1946.
This document is based on information obtained after
the Finding of Death.
