The Boeing Flying Fortress School

Lt Franz was called to active duty during October 1943.
His first station was at New Haven, Connecticut, possibly at Yale University.

According to his IDPF, his next station in October was in Seattle, Washington.

There is no documentation concerning what he was doing there but this
may have been at the newly formed Flight Engineer School at Boeing.

His stay was a short one as during January his dental records
have him stationed at Lowry Field, Denver, Colorado.
His rank was 2nd Lt and he was in the Flight Engineer School.

There is a significant lack of information about what took place
between October 1943 and January 1944.

The Boeing Flying Fortress School was located in
the Geogetown neighborhood of Seattle.

The map shows the locations of both
the School and the current Museum of Flight.

At the end of 1943 the School was in transition from the B-17 to the B-29.

Not known is if Lt Franz was in any of the classes
as he was there for a relatively short time.
