In June 1948 Mr William J Franz, Sr, received
a letter from Major General Thomas Larkin. Mr Franz was informed that he would be receiving a form in which he would state where he wanted his son buried. The two pages of this form follow the letter. Mr Franz requested that his son be buried in Hawaii. Handwritten in blue is the number 64, the Distribution Center at Oahu. The form is signed July 1948 with date stamps in September and November. |
