This includes a summary of recovery at three burial locations in and
around Osaka.
The Jonan Rifle Range is located within Osaka Castle,
Sanadayma Military Cemetery is 1-2 miles South of the Castle,
and the Shinodayama Military Maneuver Area is approximately 10 miles
South.
In Paragraph 3.a. the executions at Jonan Rifle Range
took place the first part of August.
This matches the Charges and Specifications found in Yokohama Trial
T-328 :
" On or about 5 August 1945 "
Paragraph 5 in Page 3 begins the disinterments and
a list of unknowns recovered ( X-1 through X-14 ) at the Jonan Rifle
Range.
SSgt Pellicot was the first to be recovered and he was designated
as X-1.
Handwritten names at the right side of the page indicate that other
men
from the Newell Crew were identified at a later date.
