Orientation Maps

Throughout these sections you will encounter Target 357.

In Bob Mann's book , The B-29 Superfortress,
he lists two locations for this target.
They are in close proximity to each other :

Musashino Aircraft Plant
Nakajima Aircraft Company

Within the 73rd Bomb Wing Mission # 37 Report this target is also stated as
Nakajima Aircraft Engine Plant

The first map shows the Mission Target, the Musashino Aircraft Plant ( lower right corner )
and the location where the B-29 crashed in the vicinity of Ome ( upper left corner ).

This is followed by a diagram of where the
Eastern District Headquarters of the Kempei Tai was located.

Next is a map showing the location of the Kempei Tai Headquarters
in relation to the Tokyo Military Prison. This distance is 3-4 miles.

At the bottom is a post-war aerial view of the Tokyo Military Prison.
