Below are the documents
Disinterment Directive
and
Record of Custodial Transfer

The Disinterment Directive is dated 15 March 1949 and
the first four digits of the Directive Number ( 5325 ) are for USAF Cemetery Yokohama #1.

Two lines later is a block for Disposition of Remains.
Code 01 is for Distribution Center #1 located in Brooklyn, New York.

The Record of Custodial Transfer
documents each step of Sgt Wall's journey home.

His remains were transfered from Yokohama Cemetery #1
to the American Grave Registration Service
(AGRS) Port facility at Yokohama on 20 December 1948.

On 21 May 1949 his remains were place on board
USAT Boyce and then transported to
Fort Mason, San Francisco, arriving 6 June 1949.

The last part of his journey was transportation by rail to
the Brooklyn Army Base, arriving 13 June 1949.

Beneath this document are three telegrams informing Mr Wall of details
regarding his son's journey to the Brooklyn Army Base Distribution Center
